Lomi Lomi is a traditional Hawaian technique also known as the "loving hands" technique.  The therapist may start by gently placing their hands on your shoulders or head and as asking your to breath deeply and lie still for a few moments. The more traditional practiioners may include other elemets such as prayers and dance.

During Lomi Lomi massage you're covered with a towel and more of your body may be uncovered than during a typical Swedish or Deep Tissue massage.

The reason for this is that the therapist massages more than one part of the body at a time starting at the tope of your shoulder and moving all the way down to your foot in one long flowing motion. That being said, you are always covered respectfully and will never be fully exposed.
